Unitree lists the G1+ at US $15,000 on its English product page, tax and shipping excluded. The standard G1 is US $13,500 on the same site and still $13,500 in the US shop checkout. That is a $1,500 step for a robot that adds a two-degree-of-freedom neck, stronger shoulder and arm motors, a different camera stack and louder speakers, while keeping the same roughly two-hour battery and the same eight-month warranty.
Japan’s official Unitree distributor, GMO AI & Robotics, said on October 13 it had started handling the G1+ and taking pre-orders. The US store still has no G1+ SKU. So is a neck worth $1,500? Here is the side-by-side from Unitree’s own tables, and what the list price does not buy.
Unitree G1+ price vs G1, from Unitree’s pages
We re-checked unitree.com/G1plus/ and unitree.com/g1/ on October 15, 2026, and pulled shop.unitree.com/products.json the same morning. Prices below are Unitree’s listed figures with tax and shipping excluded. EDU configurations are “contact sales” on both pages.
| Spec | G1+ | G1 |
|---|---|---|
| Listed price (tax/shipping excluded) | US $15K | US $13.5K |
| US shop checkout | No G1+ product in products.json | G1 $13,500, available |
| Total DoF (base / EDU) | 25 / 25–45 | 23 / 23–43 |
| Neck | +2 DoF (pitch −25° to 36°, yaw ±110°) | None |
| Arm max load (base / EDU) | About 3 kg / about 4 kg | About 2 kg / about 3 kg |
| Vision | Binocular camera + chest wide-angle + 3D LiDAR | Depth camera + 3D LiDAR |
| Audio | 6-mic array, 2× 10 W speakers | 4-mic array, 5 W speaker |
| Battery / runtime | 9,000 mAh, about 2 h (adds external power option) | 9,000 mAh, about 2 h |
| Size / weight | 1340×450×200 mm, about 35 kg | 1320×450×200 mm, about 35 kg |
| Warranty (base / EDU) | 8 months / 18 months | 8 months / 18 months |
Unitree’s G1+ page also claims shoulder and waist peak torque up about 110% with about 72% less heat at the same torque, arm peak torque up about 43%, and thigh heat down about 28%. Those motor figures are company claims on the product page. Unitree footnotes that arm load “varies greatly” with pose, and that some sample functions are still being developed and tested.
What $1,500 buys, and what it does not
The upgrade is mostly interaction hardware. You get a neck that can look around, a binocular head camera plus a chest wide-angle, a denser mic array, waist speakers loud enough for demos, a head touch sensor, and Unitree’s claimed motor torque and heat improvements. Base DoF rises from 23 to 25 because of that neck.
You do not get a longer battery day. Both robots use a 9,000 mAh quick-release pack and about two hours of runtime on Unitree’s tables. The G1+ adds an external power supply for continuous operation; that is tethered endurance, not a bigger onboard cell. Warranty stays eight months on the base SKU and eighteen on EDU. Compute stays an 8-core CPU on the base model, with optional high-compute modules on EDU. Hands are still not part of the base configuration on either page.

Japan opened pre-orders. The US shop did not
GMO AI & Robotics, Unitree’s official Japan distributor, said in a October 13 PR TIMES release that it had begun handling the G1+ and taking pre-orders for G1+ and G1+ EDU. The release says price and delivery differ by configuration and are quoted individually. It pitches reception, guidance, education and exhibition uses. We are not converting that into a yen street price.
On the US side, shop.unitree.com’s product feed on October 15 listed the G1 at $13,500 as available and had no G1+ handle. A probe of a G1+ product URL returned 404 in our earlier check. So the English $15,000 figure is a listed price on Unitree’s marketing page, not a confirmed US store checkout. Do not read it as “G1+ is for sale in the US for $15K today.”
How to read the G1+ if you are shopping
If you need head motion, denser sensing and Unitree’s claimed stronger arms for demos or lab work, the G1+ is the SKU Unitree built for that, at about 11% more than the G1 list. If you mainly need bipedal mobility and the same two-hour window, the G1 is still listed and still cheaper. Either way, budget for tax, shipping, EDU options, and the short base warranty, and confirm whether your region has a checkout path before treating $15,000 as a buy button.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Unitree G1+ price?
Unitree’s English G1+ page lists US $15,000 with tax and shipping excluded. EDU pricing is contact sales. That is a listed marketing price; the US shop feed we checked on October 15 had no G1+ SKU.
How much more is the G1+ than the G1?
$1,500 on Unitree’s English list prices: $15,000 for G1+ versus $13,500 for G1. The US shop still sells the G1 at $13,500.
What does the G1+ add over the G1?
A two-DoF neck, binocular plus chest cameras with 3D LiDAR, a 6-mic array and dual 10 W speakers, higher claimed arm load, and Unitree’s claimed motor torque and heat improvements. Battery capacity and about-two-hour runtime stay the same; warranty stays eight months on the base model.
Can I buy a G1+ in the US right now?
Unitree lists a US dollar price on the G1+ page, but shop.unitree.com’s products.json on October 15 did not include a G1+ product. Treat US availability as unconfirmed until a store SKU appears.
Did Japan start G1+ pre-orders?
Yes, according to GMO AI & Robotics’ October 13 release: the distributor said it began handling G1+ and taking pre-orders for G1+ and G1+ EDU, with price and delivery quoted by configuration.
